For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: one osprey on nest. Another flying around, either that one or a third came and landed on nest. Both flew off together and then circled back, one on mnest, one on perch very close to platform. Confused by direction ospreys flying in were coming from if it was only one, in which case it was the mate, or if there was an intruder. Inclined to think no intruder

General Comments: osprey sitting on nest, then looked up and called. 2nd osprey flew around and flew right over nest but didn't land and flew away over marsh. Later one on nest called again and gull that had come near (same one as last week???) flew off again.
