For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female incubating, somewhat higher than usual. Male was perched on a spreader from nearby sailboat. Male left the spreader and returned very soon after with a fish. He took the fish to the nearby piling and started to feed on it.

Other Activity: Female was somewhat higher than usual and male arrived with some debris, maybe nesting material, then one of the nestlings popped up. The female moved over and two more nestlings showed themselves. Then both male and female appeared to feed young from something in the nest.

Other Activity: Female was on nest, somewhat higher than before and with wings partly opened. Male perched on tower crossbar below. An intruder arrived and the male rose to chase it away. Afterward, the male stayed perched on the nest from a few minutes, then left.

Other Activity: After passing Babson, Round Island was checked again through the binoculars and an osprey was on the upper perch.

Other Activity: No osprey visible on the nest, and no sounds when pulled over near the nest

Weather Conditions: 74 F, WNW 10 MPH, 7% cloud cover
Other Activity: Initially 1 adult was visible on the nest calling, and the second was holding a fish on a post in the marsh. The second flew over and landed with the fish, and the nestling popped up and was visible. Both adults remained on the nest, and 1 of the adults appeared to be feeding the nestling.
