Weather Conditions: Clear, 80, light breeze
Other Activity: See General Comments
Observation Method: Vehicle and Foot
General Comments: Initially one Adult was observed low in the nest. Very soon after arrival a second adult, with a fish, went to the perch and began to feed. This got the attention of the nest sitter who stood up and watched Osprey number two feed. I did not observe any nestling activity. After 15 minutes the nest sitter went back to being low in the nest and appeared to be fusing around a bit. Not seeing any nestlings I wonder if the pair may possibly be caring for sterile eggs.

Number of Fledglings Visible: 0
Weather Conditions: Clear skies, 80, mild winds

Observation Method: Vehicle and foot
General Comments: A lot going on. Nest appeared empty upon arrival. After 10 minutes an adult perched on the side of the nest for 2 minutes and departed. Moments later another adult arrived with a fish closely followed by yet another also with a fish. Both landed in the nest. Curiously I observed no feeding activity . A third adult made an attempt to land on the nest but was met with mild resistance form the two already there, encouraging it to move on which it did. At about the 20 minute mark the two adults in the nest departed, leaving the fish behind. Again no feeding activity observed.

Weather Conditions: 77℉, partly cloudy/partly sunny, light breeze with intermittent stronger gusts
Other Activity: Adult #1 was perched on rim of nest with what appeared to be a wing flutter from down in nest; Adult #2 flews to nest and remained for many minutes, doing housekeeping with a rather large partial branch; then fledgling appeared on nest rim with the 2 adults; baby had some feathers and was nearly as big as the adults; A#2 kept on housekeeping and then flew away; baby disappeared down into nest; A#1 sat again on nest rim looking around; there was no eating as far as I could see
Observation Method: On foot
General Comments: A word about their descriptions: A#1 - black body; white & black head with red stripe btw. colors A#2 - more brown than black body; white & black head with red stripe on neck btw. colors Fledgling - brown body; yellowish head with red stripe on neck NOTE: There is a long birch tree (4-6" diameter) which has fallen across the path to the look-out platform, making it a little difficult to get there. It would be helpful if it could be cut (which I can't do). Tx.
