Name: Eve Grissinger

Nest Name:
GLO-03 - Farm Creek Platform

Adult Osprey Activity Observed:
Osprey Feeding Self

Location, Date & Time of Observation:
2022-07-11
6:19 AM to 6:42 AM
at: Gloucester

Number of Adults Visible: 2

Number of Nestlings Visible: 0

Number of Fledglings Visible: 0

Weather Conditions: 64 degrees F, sunny, light breeze

Other Activity: One Osprey was perched on the post near the nest, eating a fish. The fish was pinned to the top of the post in the Osprey's talons, and it took bites/fed while occasionally looking around. Second adult Osprey was in the nest. Noticed movements in the nest but couldn't see anything clearly within until about 6:35 am, when the Osprey in the nest seemed to rise up a bit onto the side of the nest, repositioned itself, and settled back into the nest. When in the nest, I could just make out the top of its head moving here and there. It looked to be tending possible chicks; I couldn't see any specifically however.

Observation Method: On foot

General Comments: I can also see platform "GLO-06 Coles Island" from my vantage, which has remained empty of birds or nests whenever I've seen it this year.
