Where are Osprey Nesting?

For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Had borrowed scope and saw 3 chicks for first time. The chicks are getting big. Male landed and left fish and took off. Female started feeding chicks.

Other Activity: Two adults, one on nest and one on top of pylon. One nestling seen from time to time

Weather Conditions: 75 degrees partly cloudy light east wind < 10 mph

Other Activity: 2 Adult osprey were observed. One on the tower near the nest that did not move. One in the nest that flew off and returned with a fish. 2 small white heads were visible. The adult appeared to help feed the fish. Then the adult flew off again and did not return during observation. The other adult remained on the tower nearby.
