For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: One chick was on the nest with Olivia and the other, a female was perched on top of a dead tree nearby where Ollie usually sits. She was trying to keep her balance while looking down & around and wondering where that nest that used to be under her went.

Other Activity: Too far to be sure , but one that I think was adult was perched, still, on nearby perch. At least one in nest. One head poked up a few times not always facing same way. One perched may have been juve, couldn't see at that distance. Think only one in nest, and it may have fledged and come back, since I thought last week they had fledged.

General Comments: one presumed fledgling unless it is the last one in nest and hasnt' left yet, was poking at what might have been remnants of food, don't know. Stayed on nest but walked around edge, stretched wings a couple times.

Other Activity: Adult and Fledgling were perched on the nest, later a passing boat spooked them and they both flew off. The Fledgling returned to the nest and the adult went to a nearby piling but returned to the nest soon after.

Other Activity: Huge commotion, one parent on nest with chicks and three adults flew in. Two went over to #1 nest and I thought they may mate, brought a stick in....late bloomers or housekeeping pair?? Finally after several minutes they left and male went back to nest with chcks.

Other Activity: While several osprey were sighted flying around the Great Bank ( (one looked as if it would land on the nest but did not), only one Opsrey that I assume was a nestling stood perched on the nest during the entire observation.
