For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 1 osprey left nest shortly after I began viewing. The other osprey appeared to be feeding itself. Later located osprey in marsh near platform 03A appeared to be feeding; cannot verify it is the same osprey that left nest.

General Comments: Pauline first started sitting on the nest yesterday, April 22. The countdown begins. Bob frequently comes by with a fish and to hang out. His nest perch is now not visible or useable. They built this year’s next so high that it covers his perch.
