For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 55 degrees party cloudy slight breeze

Other Activity: another Osprey flew high above while this pair chirped at it until it flew up the river. This was not one from the adjacent nest. This pair were displaying incubating and copulation. And just as I had arrived one flew in with a fish. One osprey was eating the fish while perched on the nest. The other was down in the nest incubating.

Weather Conditions: 55 degrees party cloudy slight breeze

Other Activity: another Osprey (not one from adjacent nest) flew high above while this Osprey perched on the nest. She (I think, she seemed larger, couldn't get a good view of 'necklace' though) was constantly calling/vocalizing the entire time I was there. Recording/photos are available.
