For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: It appears there are some branched on the nest.

Observation Method: by kayak, through binoculars near the Great Bank nest. It was getting too windy and choppy towards Dilly to go closer.

Other Activity: There was an adult osprey perched on the post behind the platform the whole time I observed, and there were quite a few sticks on the platform. I was at a little distance and bobbing in the kayak, but it did not appear that there was an adult in the nest.

Other Activity: One adult was incubating eggs. The second was initially on a large branch in the flooded marsh. The second adult flew onto the nest briefly, and then over to Choate Island into a tree.
