For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: This female still does not have her mate....feel like he is either injured or dead. She is calling a lot the the other pair and the male from the other nest is mating with her and has brought stick for the nest...I am Dumbfounded.

Weather Conditions: 48 degrees, cloudy and misty.

Other Activity: Male and female on platform #1, male has left several times bringing back sticks and straw. He left the nest shortly after and mated again with female on platform #2. I still have not seen the other male and feel he was injured or killed by an eagle.The male in nest #1 seems very attentive to his mate. Female from nest #2 left her platform and flew over the #1 nest which caused a ruckus...

Weather Conditions: 50 F, Scattered clouds, Light wind, Astronomical high tide covering most of the marsh uplands.

Other Activity: Female's head just barely visible at the top of the nest as she sits on egg(s).

Observation Method: On foot with binoculars.

General Comments: Male was on the pole perch, and then on a marsh boulder approximately 50 yards from the nest.
