For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Today is Day 35 of incubation. Pauline is rearranging small sticks from the nest cup to the edges of the nest. Bob has been around a lot more. Hoping to see hatching within the next 5 days.

Other Activity: Observed one osprey incubating and saw the mate making several attempts at catching fish - tide was coming in and I observed 5 attempts with no luck. He flew off and I saw him flying with/near another osprey closer in the harbor as he continued his quest for food.

General Comments: This is the second visit this week with no activity on or near nest. Appears abandoned.

Other Activity: Adult osprey perched on 3rd rung of tower from the ground eating. He/she did not move or return to nest. No activity was observed in the nest.

Other Activity: Adult Osprey flew to tower and perched on 3 rung up from the ground. Flew off tower, circled, and landed on 4th rung from ground. Bird did not return to nest.

Observation Method: On foot with binoculars from shore.

Other Activity: one flew away shortly after began observing; did not see him return. Female on nest was very active moving around in the nest, not the behavior I am used to seeing.
