For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: The adult spent most of the time perched in a nearby tree. The nestlings were not visible most of the time but would occasionally pop up their head or move about for a little bit and settle down again. Towards the end the adult flew around a bit, then would settle back on a perch near the nest.
Observation Method: On foot with a spotting scope.

Other Activity: Moose and Squirrel are alone on the nest. Pauline has gradually given them some alone time. I know she is in a nearby tree watching them closely. She has been doing this behavior for the last 3 days. The chicks seem to like their new freedom- they are happily bouncing around the nest
