General Comments: One adult on the nest. No sign of chicks. Last week both adults were on either side of the nest looking down. One hunted and came back. I thought there might be chicks low in the nest. Nothing visible today. Very high angle so perhaps but feeling less optimistic than last week.

Name: Robyn Lafata

Nest Name:
GLO-04A - Annisquam River Platform #2

Adult Osprey Activity Observed:
Osprey Incubating Eggs or Chicks

Location, Date & Time of Observation:

at: Gloucester

Number of Adults Visible: 1

Number of Nestlings Visible: 0

Number of Fledglings Visible: 0

Weather Conditions: 68° hazy in sunny with a light breeze

Other Activity: This morning I observed the female up off of her nest and preening herself on the edge of the platform. She went back towards the center and pushed her wings. Ouch, maybe protecting the babies a little bit from the sun. And continued training. Another Osprey was flying above, but left. This is just a quick stop by before I leave for New Hampshire. But wanted to check on her since the other day was rainy. Not sure how many have hatched.o
