For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Bob brought a fish to the nest. Pauline held the flopping fish down with her talons while the chicks hopped up and down with joy.

Weather Conditions: 83 degrees, sunny, very light wind

Other Activity: Initially 1 adult and the chick were on the nest. The male flew in with food, stayed for a couple minutes, and then flew back and perched in the distance. The female was observed feeding the chick which now has the head markings of an osprey.

Other Activity: The female was on the nest with the chick. The male, of this nest I assume, was on driftwood in the marsh.

Other Activity: Only 1 chick was visible, but the tide was down a couple of feet from high, and it was difficult to see.

Other Activity: Observed one bird flying in the harbor, fishing. Two adults were on the nest, and one was feeding the nestling. I only saw one chick, but wondering if there is another.

Weather Conditions: Rainy, light wind, fog lifting

Other Activity: One adult was in nest and appeared to be moving around a fair amount. Also spread its wings several times but did not fly off. Other adult was perched several rungs down on the tower and appeared to be active eating something but it was difficult to see due to the weather.

Observation Method: On foot with binoculars. Due to the weather and rain it was difficult to see exactly what the osprey were doing.

Other Activity: Adult Osprey appeared busy doing something in nest but with the weather it was difficult to see well. Only one bird was visible and no other adults appeared to be in the area.

General Comments: Mom was on the nest & I could see one chick. Then Dad arrived with food & I could see 2 chicks.

Other Activity: One adult osprey visible in nest. It was difficult to see due to the weather and the binoculars kept fogging. Did not see another adult in the area.
