For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: It is fully clear that the nestlings evident a week and a half ago are no longer present. The adults have been a best from the nest for long periods. The female has tended to be present more,, often by herself. Now and then, the male is evident perched nearby. At times, other osprey seem to be investigating the nest site.

Other Activity: Male sitting on the dock, dining on a flounder. Both females are yelling, knowing the male has food. Finally the female on #1 platform flew off, female in #2 waits patiently. She is sitting on the side of the nest preening.

Other Activity: female is sitting on the nest perch preening. She is calling to the male to no avail. Eventually she flew off.

Other Activity: Male is sitting on marsh perch, I can see the silhouette of the female moving on the edge of the nest..we know there are nestlings there, I am just not close enough to see them or how many.

Other Activity: The female was perched on the nest, and the male was perched on the post. The female also flew off a couple of time. No young were visible.
