For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Could not really confirm if it was an adult or young osprey. He / She was stationary and did not appear to be too active.

Weather Conditions: Sunny, warm, humid light wind

Other Activity: One adult Osprey flew from nest and caught a fish. He/She returned to the tower but perched below the nest and ate the fish. It appeared to be two younger Osprey in the nest. Lighter colored. One fluffed his/her wings but otherwise they did not appear to be able to fly yet.

Observation Method: On foot at the end of Osgood Street with binoculars.

Other Activity: One adult perched on tower near nest. Could not confirm if it was one or two younger osprey in nest. They were not moving too much but were visible and did move about a bit

Other Activity: Nestling was in the nest. An adult osprey was perched in a nearby ttree. With the adult out of the nest it was easier to determine that there is indeed only one offspring.
