For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: I believe both fledgings are flying. Yesterday, there were 3 birds on the nest; today just 1, and I think it's a fledging.

General Comments: Two fledglings were on the nest & the third was on a rock on the edge of the river. Then that one joined the others on the nest. One was flapping really hard & getting air under its feet.

Other Activity: Adult male osprey on nearby perch. The female came back as I approached by boat. One large nestling standing in nest but it wouldn't take off no matter how much noise I made. I did not see a 2nd nestling this time.

Other Activity: Adult male osprey on nearby perch. The female came back as I approached by boat. One large nestling standing in nest but it wouldn't take off no matter how much noise I made. I did not see a 2nd nestling this time.

Other Activity: Adult male osprey was on the nearby marsh perch and one large nestling was on the edge of the nest. It did flap it's wings but did not lift off.
