Weather Conditions: Very hot and very still (unusual)

Other Activity:

Observation Method: On foot

General Comments: One large osprey flew into the area of the nest and perched on a nearby tree. Immediately following this, a smaller osprey flew in and entered the nest. The size difference was significant enough ton assume the smaller one was a fledgling. I was please to see that he was flying as a couple of weeks ago he was hesitant to leap off of the nest. There was no interaction between the 2 osprey. The adult flew off at some point but I didn’t notice the time. The fledgling remained sitting in the nest.

The second flew about 10 minutes after that and appeared to be doing some mock diving over the water before heading out in the same direction as Osprey 1. I waited to see if any returned to the nest. They did not.
