For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: No Osprey visible on nest but on 3/17 I did observe an adult Osprey perched on the tower. There were numerous crows flying around. Today there were no birds in the area - and very few birds out overall.
Observation Method: On foot and in car at the end of Osgood Street.

General Comments: The visibility was poor. The nest appears large and intact. I did not observe any osprey yet and overall there were very few birds of any type. The harbor was quiet.

Observation Method: foot tower is on the property that my house sits on. So, I view the action on a daily basis. this is the latest that we have seen an osprey on the towers.
General Comments: I believe this osprey is a young one who stayed in the nest for a long time, often insisting that the adult feed it, this is from early September. The adult left about 9/11 This young one is fishing and feeding itself, finally.
