For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male Osprey was in the nest; minutes later the female swooped in. At first she flew around. Then she settled on the nest for a few minutes. Then she took off eventually flew out of sight.

General Comments: First time seeing the pair. Hopefully, they are the same pair . Also had a turkey vulture.

General Comments: Annie (I think) standing in the center of the nest on the nesting material. She is looking around, and at times, looking overhead. There is much chirping/calling from her.

General Comments: Resting and standing on nesting material in platform. The entire time I observed, I couldn't see the breast feathers to determine if it was Annie (again/still) or if Squam has arrived. Grackles were foraging for food and flying back and forth across the nest platform area. At one point, the Osprey defended the nest from a Grackle which had landed on the nest perch.
