For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female on platform. After ten minutes male appeared and searched for fish in Muddy Creek. Female left nest and circle over the marsh.Male circled higher and finally out over the Sound.

Other Activity: Appears nest location of past several years was lost over winter. Observed 3 osprey copulating on that nest site 2 weeks ago, 2 osprey sitting on pole there and today saw that they had added some thin nest material and were perched in that location. Will scope it as soon as possible to get better look
