For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Weather Conditions: 48 degrees, wind from south ~ 10 MPH. Cloudy. The visibility was not great
Other Activity: One osprey appeared to be perched in nest. I could see the head moving. No other osprey visible in the area.
Observation Method: Vehicle with binoculars at the end of Osgood Street and then moved to Planters street to confirm it was a bird in the nest. Observed head moving but visibility was not great.

Other Activity: One adult osprey perched on tower several rungs before nest. Preening and cleaning himself. Fluffed wings but primarily appeared to be observing his surroundings. There was another osprey visible in the next but it was only a head moving around.

She seems to just be sitting there not actively building. Maybe they are a young couple housekeeping?

General Comments: I see this post many times each day. Clearly there is a pair of birds connected to this nest. It is possible that there are eggs present, but no way to confirm. It seems the female is perched or in the nest most of the time. The nest is rarely left untended. Both birds clearly defend this nest when other osprey turn up.
