For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Weather Conditions: 58 degrees; no clouds; light breeze; 2.5 hours from low tide
Other Activity: Female sitting on nest perch. Male flew in after a while, and possibly mated. Then sat on the nest while female was preening. Male seemed to be poking at sticks in the nest for several minutes.
Observation Method: In my car on Middle Road in two spots with binoculars.
General Comments: There were other large birds flying around on the other side of Rte 1 over the marsh. Could not tell if they were Osprey.
