For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 1 adult on the high perch at the nest, and 1 in a tree behind the nest. Only 1 of the nestlings was visible at this time (saw it on the second visit though)

Weather Conditions: 76 F, sunny, ESE 3 mph

Other Activity: Female was perched on the high perch at the nest and 2 nestlings were in the nest. After a few minutes, the male flew around with a fish. He circled around a few times, and at one point came into the nest with the fish. The female did not come down from the perch, and the 2 young did not react much to his arrival. He ended up flying off with the fish. There was a bit of wing exercising from 1 of the young at the nest after he left.

Other Activity: No osprey visible on the nest, on the nearby house or on the driftwood in the marsh, but there was an osprey perched and calling from a tree on Choate Island

Other Activity: The female was perched in the nest, next to one of the nestlings, shading it. The other 2 nestlings were standing up, and 1 was flapping its wings at one point. Both of these had the dark facial line of an osprey now.

Other Activity: several Osprey flying over my viewing position heading to the water on the opposite side of Salem Turnpike.
