For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Initially one osprey seen perched on side of nest; no osprey visible nesting. After about 15 minutes, 2nd osprey flew into nest, and the osprey that was perched moved into center of nest and the osprey that flew in moved to the perch. So likely no eggs yet?

Other Activity: one on nest; one in marsh grass to left of nest. Watched osprey in grass chase away a larger bird (not sure what type of bird) maybe juvey eagle; and land on nest.
