Third osprey landed in nest with fish remnants. Male and female pair huddled over eggs. Lots of flapping and noise. Both nesting osprey chased third off nest and toward river briefly leaving nest open. Female came back and male and third continued to skirmish in air. Male returned to nest and both were alert. Third came back and swooped again but didn’t land. Male and third off by river and female in the nest when I had to leave. They did a good job defending nest but it was disturbing to see. Will check them tomorrow.
