For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: The site selection is not correct as this is a new sighting at a new place. Top of the pink house that everybody knows about driving to Plum Island and Osprey has started to build a nest on top of the chimney I am not sure how far this is going, but if people observe the same thing, I think it would be interesting to comment

General Comments: I keep looking but this platform won't have any action this year. Too late in the season. But I had a Double-crested Cormorant in the scope preening itself on the perch. This is a bird to see up close. Stunning with blue eyes and an orange face! And what underwater acrobats they are!

General Comments: Both were on the nest & one was incubating. Then the one that was incubating flew to the perch near the nest & then continued to fly over the marsh. The other osprey got down in the nest & started incubating.

General Comments: I was not able to confirm whether an adult bird was in the nest. I did see what I thought was a head moving and I walked to various spots on the pier to see if I could get a better view.
