For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One lone Osprey again today. It appears that there will be no eggs and one Osprey has left the nest? Multiple Osprey circling overhead hunting earlier but only one Osprey has been seen for the last few days on the side of the shallow nest or on the perch above

Weather Conditions: 80 degrees, bright sun, no clouds, wind about 10mph

Other Activity: One adult on nest; would occasionally raise wings and stand on edge of nest, then settle back down into nest. Second adult was initially perched on a low post next to the nest stand. It then joined the other adult on the side of the nest before one flew off downriver. It returned after a few minutes, but I didn't see whether it had a fish. It flew away again. When I left, one adult was still on the nest, and there were two OSPR circling high above the marsh/Parker River.

Other Activity: Make in the marsh. Report by Sean of DCR - female incubating two eggs. There were three but now down to the two. Reported via DCR Osprey Cam.

Observation Method: On foot - walked to viewing platform.

General Comments: DCR and the East Boston HS were out bird watching and we at the viewing platform at the time of my observation.

Other Activity: Male and Female feeding. Male on adjacent pole with female feeding in the nest. The female then settled in to incubate.
