For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One osprey was perched on the pole next to the nest, and one perched up on the pole in the nest; neither was down in incubating. The nest looked well developed with sticks.

Other Activity: This observation was made from the Brophy area with my binoculars. I could clearly see one osprey on the nearby perch and one in the nest.

Other Activity: At 8:40 AM from a distance, we could see the female on the nest incubating, and a second osprey flew onto the nearby grassy island with a fish. The bird on the nest did not call out to it, and no fish was delivered.
