For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: One osprey was perched on the pole next to the nest, and one perched up on the pole in the nest; neither was down in incubating. The nest looked well developed with sticks.

Other Activity: This observation was made from the Brophy area with my binoculars. I could clearly see one osprey on the nearby perch and one in the nest.

Other Activity: At 8:40 AM from a distance, we could see the female on the nest incubating, and a second osprey flew onto the nearby grassy island with a fish. The bird on the nest did not call out to it, and no fish was delivered.

Other Activity: A second osprey flew into the nearbyt driftwood on the bank with a fish. The female did not call out to it, and it did not deliver the fish to her.

Other Activity: When we were still a distance away, the female was visible tucked down in the nest. The second osprey arrived and the female got up and stood up and moved a bit. It was unclear if food had been delivered, or if any young were fed. By the time we got close enough to see well, the male was down in the marsh and the female was tucked back down in the nest.
