For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: I observed an adult osprey (presumed the Female) on the nest with one nestling. The nestling was hopping and flapping, the adult was calling. A few mins later, the Male came back with a big fish. The Female ate some and then hopped off the nest onto the tower. At that point another little one popped up out of the nest to feed!
Observation Method: On foot with binocs from the street
General Comments: I haven't observed this nest very much this year so it was good to see that they have 2 babies!! :)
