For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One adult was seated in the nest and did not get up for the entire 15 minutes. The other adult started perched on the side of the nest, but then flew to the ground near the stand. It remained on the ground, preening or just hanging out, the rest of the 15 minutes. 3 other osprey flew past the nest stand, following the river upstream.

General Comments: One osprey was down in the nest incubating. Another landed on the nest & then a third tried to land. The 1st one who landed chased it away. Then the one who was in the nest changed positions & continued incubating.
