For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: There was no one home when I first got there but after a few minutes 1 adult and 2 fledglings appeared with a fish and started eating. The fledglings were feeding themselves.

Other Activity: No opsrey were at Babson on the way over to Brophy and Dean, but on the way back over to Round, 1 was perched.

Other Activity: Initially it appeared the nest was empty, but while observing an osprey started calling, and then an adult flew in, dropped a fish a flew of. A fledgling popped up and flew off to the trees carrying the fish.

Other Activity: One adult was in the nest feeding. There were 2 osprey flying over Choate Island and 1 flying low in front of it. All were calling. It's possible they were fledglings from Brophy, but couldn't confirm.

Weather Conditions: ~ 73 degrees, light breeze partly cloudy
Other Activity: One osprey on edge of nest. No other birds visible. He/she jumped up and down and flapped wings multiple times but did not fly from the nest during observation. The bird did not look like a full size adult and it appeared to be a fledgling trying to fly.
Observation Method: On foot on ferry dock with binoculars.
General Comments:
