For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: one bird in nest, incubating (YAY!); second bird perched on nearby grass - it flew up to nest with something in its talons, then picked it up and flew off, back to its perch on the ground

General Comments: Both male and female were on the nest when I arrived. He stuck close almost the whole hour I was there. Judging by how they were standing looking down I think there may have been a hatching. We’ll see!
