For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: As we approached from Brophy, 2 osprey were visible, 1 on the perch and 1 perched in the nest. When we got near the nest, just 1 osprey was visible, the one perched near the edge of the nest. The osprey in the nest was holding its wings out slightly, but no chicks could be seen.

Other Activity: One osprey was in the nest feeding the 2 chicks. Another osprey was high above calling , but unclear if it was connected to this nest as it did not come into the nest or perch anywhere nearby.

Other Activity: No osprey visible on the nest, but 2 were flying around calling, at on the southwest side of Choste Island and 2 others were high above flying around and calling. No chicks were visible in the nest as were passed by.
