For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Temp 43, sunny, calm, tide just past low.
Other Activity: One on nest, one on strut below at 4:40. The one below was sitting erect. The one on the nest was standing, circling, then settled facing the sun. At just before 5 pm the lower one was approaching the nest with a large fish, mobbed by 4-5 crows. The two osprey appeared to rip and tear for a bit, then the lower one returned below with a mostly intact fish. While I was recording this behavior the nest one took off. It returned to nest at 5:08, made a quick swoop by the other one on the way. The two were back at their one up, one down setup when I left. 5:10
