For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: There's a small amount of sticks resembling a very low nest in the basket, with some greenery growing in it, and a House Sparrow hanging out, but it's definitely unoccupied.

Other Activity: The poor things had their mouths wide open trying to cool off a bit. It was hot!

Other Activity: Single osprey perched on high utility pole. Assumed by the size, it was a female.

Observation Method: With binoculars.

General Comments: Hold into Wheelabrator site and quickly viewed the surrounding marsh area. A lot of activity was occurring in the garbage truck turn around area.

Observation Method: Drove to rear of UPS distribution facility, parked along the side of the fence and stood up on the edge of the cars door frame to view using binoculars

Other Activity: Female and fledgling on nest self feeding. Two seemingly adults on radio tower total three adults one fledgling / female, and fledgling left the nest as I was leaving .

Observation Method: Walked into area via cut through/open fencing at pull over on route 107 / used scope & binoculars for viewing.
