For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: I observed an adult osprey (presumed the Female) on the nest with one nestling. The nestling was hopping and flapping, the adult was calling. A few mins later, the Male came back with a big fish. The Female ate some and then hopped off the nest onto the tower. At that point another little one popped up out of the nest to feed!
Observation Method: On foot with binocs from the street
General Comments: I haven't observed this nest very much this year so it was good to see that they have 2 babies!! :)

Other Activity: One osprey on side of nest flew away when I approached. I stayed and played osprey calls from my phone to try and lure any nestlings up but had no luck. I haven't seen any nestlings here this year.
