For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 1 adult appeared to be feeding a chick. one was on the marsh perch, one flew in low across the marsh from the west close past the platform and landed on the marsh about 100' northeast.

Other Activity: 3 osprey flying over the nest. 2 had an aggressive encounter in the air of which on continued to fly over the nest, one flew south. The third one landed on the nest. About a month ago I observed a similar aerial fight which descended briefly to below platform level before one osprey flew away.

Other Activity: Annie was in the nest with two fledglings finishing a fish, after feeding them. She left the nest at 11:30 . Squam remained on the distant perch feeding on a fish.

Observation Method: On foot with scope.
General Comments: After hanging out for a while today, I was able to see 3 nestlings. Their heads were way down but they were there. Of course, they may be fledglings and just returned for a bit. Hard to know for sure.
