For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Both adults perched on nest. One flew off as we approached. I could not see any nestlings but the adults sure act as though they have nestlings.

Other Activity: Both adults in nest. One osprey took flight as we approached and a good sized nestling popped up next to the adult. When we got closer the 2nd adult took flight and left the nestling alone for a couple minutes.

Other Activity: We found a treetop nest on what I believe is Long Island only a very short distance from the Round Island platform. There were 2 osprey on this nest. I will send an email to Dave to further explain.
