For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male or female dropped off food for the nestlings. One nestlings in particular was working on pre-flight activities! Clearly one of the two was further along than the other.

General Comments: Went on the off chance of a bird being present despite nest having failed. Sure enough one adult on post away from nest finishing eating. Flew off -circled area then headed up Muddy Creek. Fairly sure this was male but not certain.

Other Activity: Adult female, osprey and fledgling flying around platform. Two other nestlings still occupying the nest… upon departure, all four were in and around the nest!
Observation Method: Drove into the construction site for the new Revere high school.
General Comments: Spoke to the site super. He showed me some photographs that the engineers of the project took from the parking garage across the street. Looking directly into the nest. I will try to give it a go to the next time I head out to the Wonderland site.
