For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Pauline was working on the cup area of the nest - - leaning in with her body while putting her wings up and out. Bob sat on the nest rim and watched.

Observation Method: Pulled into UPS distribution center. Viewed over fencing via binoculars.

General Comments: At least for the time being, clear view of this platform. Normally, there's so much overgrowth from this advantage place.

Other Activity: Female osprey has arrived and joined male on platform 2 for mating. Later in the morning a third osprey intruded, bringing nesting material and trying to join one of the residents on Platform 2. Lots of loud calling and chasing around with many attempts to land and the resident pair both chasing the intruder at different times.
