For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Initially 1 adult was on the nest post. A second osprey then brought a large stick into the nest.

Other Activity: Initially 2 adults were in the nest. Then 1 flew out and over Choate Island. It returned, and both were perched. There was no sign of bring any sticks to the nest.

Other Activity: One was on the nest & another tried to land but was not welcome. Two others were flying around while the one was still on the nest. Then the eagle appeared & the one on the nest went after it & both flew downstream.

Observation Method: From our house.

General Comments: I'm concerned that they should be actively fixing the nest and spending more time on it by now. One will occasionally be on it but not for long. After 14 seasons watching the nest I hope they will settle in soon.

Other Activity: Bob and Pauline have been enjoying the good life. For the past 4 days, they have been hanging out on the nest and on the marsh perches, and eating fish together on the nest.

General Comments: I heard a great horn owl hooting this morning. I hope they dont intend to stay.

Other Activity: Barely enough visibility to see over to Round Island. Just enough to see an osprey on the nest perch. It is possible there was an osprey in the nest as well. When viewed from Argilla Rd, there were 2 and this is the first day I have observed any osprey at the nest.
