For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Both osprey were on nest. Also on nearby light stand together. Mated on nest. Flew around the area when a dog went near pole. Eventually came back.

General Comments: There were two on the nest and one was rearranging new sticks on the nest. Occasionally one or both would leave the nest & return. There have been 4 osprey flying around every day looking like there is some territorial conflict. I wanted to point out that there is a nice platform available just up river at Stanton St.
