For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: total of 3 chicks, 2 looked to have been hatched earlier and one more recently. No 4th egg was visible. The to older chicks were sleeping and unaware of our presence but breathing and the younger chick was active and chirping.

Weather Conditions: High 60’s, breezy, scattered clouds
Other Activity: Male perched on stand-off post, female in nest. Another female lands on nest for a minute or so. Flies off. Shortly after, female flies off to nearby trees and returns. Male stays on stand throughout.
Observation Method: Visual from house
General Comments: Towards end of time, one nestling head was clearly visible. Any other chicks present are still not evident.

Other Activity: Female at edge of nest with three nestlings sighted. Male arrived with large fish and feed all occupants !
Observation Method: Drove into Gibson Point parking area and viewed with scope.
General Comments: Great to have found a perfect location for viewing this nest!
