For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: studied nest for 15 minutes. no signs of any movement. If there is an osprey nesting she is laying down low.

Weather Conditions: Breezy, partly to mostly cloudy,62, tide on the ebb

Other Activity: On arrival, one head occasionally peeking above nest rim. About 11:30 a second adult was observed soaring over the cove. Then it disappeared from view. Then it was observed in the pylon lower strut, then it flew to the shoreline, picked up a stick, and flew to the nest with it. Then the two hung out on/in the nest.
