For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female was observed sitting on nest perch, within 5 minutes, male flew in onto nest perch. Flew down to female and mated. They both flew to the marsh below and sat there until I left......

Other Activity: When I arrived the osprey was on the nest, then dropped down to the ground to get a stick. It spent a few minutes working the stick into the nest. Then it spent about 10 minutes perched next to the nest and preened itself. Then it got more nesting material and worked on the nest again.
