For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 53 degrees, clearing. Warmer than earlier when in 40s and cloudy.
Other Activity: This was second visit of the day. Yesterday had seen the female had some kind of plastic trash stuck on her and wanted to make sure she was okay. The earlier visit she was low in the nest the entire time and male was on adjacent pole. He chased off a third osprey who approached the area. On this visit he left another pole and landed on the nest and she immediately took off. There was nothing on her, thankfully. Flew off toward the river. I have no doubt they have eggs.
