For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Observation Method: on foot, from the end of Island Rd, walking left down the marsh, observed at the same time as Brophy Salt Marsh Platform

Other Activity: Male Osprey on the nest perch, female in the nest bowl on eggs. The female stood up for a wing stretch and settled back down on the eggs. Saw 3 bunnies along the way!
Observation Method: on foot, down the mowed grass road (thank you!) and down the gravel road to the edge of the marsh

Other Activity: So happy to see one adult Osprey perched on the marsh perch and one adult Osprey in the nest bowl - head visible. The last couple of times I visited, I was left wondering how this nesting season was going. All appears to be well! Neighbors have enjoyed watching the Ospreys fish and carrying the fish.
