For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: I just returned from a week away and found that two of the fledglings had learned to fly and were away from the nest. One fledgling was on the nest and spreading its wings, but may not yet have flown. Later in the day I saw four ospreys on the nest, one adult and three fledglings.

General Comments: Finally saw all 5 osprey at the same time. We hadn't seen all 5 at once for a few days & began to worry that something happened to one of them. Two were on the nest, two on the utility pole near the nest and one in a nearby tree. Later in the morning two of the fledglings were flying in circles together.
