For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: this blind is a ruin. The bird was on a pole that remains. I couldn't tell if he was with the Salisbury Reservation bird or with the Black Creek platform so I put him here.

Other Activity: The female is sitting deep in the nest for the first time. She may have laid her first egg. Another female osprey approached the nest very close and the resident female raised her wings to ward off the intruder which then circled a couple of times before flying away. This also made me think the resident female is protecting an egg.
